Expo F.A.Q.’s

Can a friend or family member pick up my race bib and swag?

Yes, we encourage you to avoid Race Day congestion and stress.

I’m at the Expo. Where do I go first?

Pick up your bib by registrant’s last name, then visit the booths inside for shirt and swag.

Where do I pick up my bottle of Celebration Red wine?

Wine for the first 1,800 registered for the full, half & half relay is available on Expo day at Fuzio Universal Bistro, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fuzio is located at 1020 10th St, directly across the street from the main Expo entrance. Wine pick up on race day will be in the Beer & Wine Garden at the Finish Line Festival, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.Those without ID and who look under 30 will NOT be given their custom bottle of wine. There will be no wine pick up after race day and it will not be shipped!

Can I purchase another bottle of wine as a souvenir?

Sorry, there is no wine available for purchase.

What if I want to change races?

Pick up your bib and race swag first, then visit our Solutions desk near the Race Day Registration booth in the lobby. You can swap shirts after you change races.

I can’t run. Can I transfer my entry to a friend or family member?

Yes, for a $10 fee at the Expo only. Pick up your bib and swag first — the person getting your entry will be allowed to change shirt sizes. Then go to the Race Day Registration/Solutions desk and have the new runner fill out a registration form. The registration desk will take it from there. You must find your own person to transfer your entry to.

Can I still register to run or walk at the Expo?

Yes, but if you wait this long to register, you may not receive a race shirt. We will have plenty of arm sleeves, however, to go with your race bib, official timing, course aid and finish line food and drinks. After the race on Sunday, you can bring your bib to the Volunteer/information booth at the Finish Festival where we will have the leftover shirts and hopefully you’ll be able to get one in your size.

I heard we can sign up for the 2017 Modesto Marathon at a special price. Is that true?

Yes, we are offering a super special 72-hour 2017 Modesto Marathon registration sale beginning at the Expo on Saturday and closing Monday at midnight. The 5K will be $20, half marathon $60, two-person half marathon relay $120, full marathon $80 and 12 & under $15. Can I be taped before the race?

Yes, free K-T Taping will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis by Dee Cajiuat and her brother David Cajiuat.

Will there be speakers or special guests at the Expo?

This year’s special guest will be Thomas Valles, whose life is featured in the Disney film McFarland USA. He will be available for a meet and greet, as well as photos and autographs. Valles will run the 5K on Sunday and then greet finishers. Check his booth for details. Valles, who works for the Department of Corrections, has stayed involved in running through competing and coaching. He helped alongside Coach Jim White at McFarland High School, and when his own children started competing, he began coaching the McFarland Track Club through the McFarland Parks & Recreation Department, which was established by Coach White in 1973. Valles took over in 2003. Valles will start the marathon and half marathon runners on Sunday.
