Records and Winners

So far, two of our past marathon winners have committed to running the 2013 Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon. Modestan Jon Olsen will be trying for his third victory in four years in preparation for running in the World 24-Hour competition in Holland later this year. Michelle Meyer, who is attending medical school in San Francisco, will be back to attempt to break her 2011 course record. Meyer went on to qualify for the Olympic Trials after using SAMM in her training that year!

Being fast can translate into fast cash at the 2013 SAMM. Overall male and female winners will take home a cool $500. Add another $500 for setting a course record! Half marathon winners will receive $250, and another $250 for setting course records; while 5K victors will receive $100 and a $100 bonus for setting a new record.
